My custom extension to read data out of the digifant 1 via serial k-line runs rock solid since 2011.
I removed the oem code for fault diagnosis (blink code) and implemented my own protocol to write data to the serial k-line with up to 64k baud. I reach a much higher data rate (output of 32 values up to 100Hz!) as the kwp 1281 group readings from early 90ies.
I'm using this to monitor important variables like knock detection while remapping the ecu.
